ODBC Router Frequently Asked Questions
About ODBCSDK on Linux

(Preliminary Information)

We provide an "rpm" or a "tarball" that you can download and install on your system, including binary shared objects that Linux apps may link to and "open source" header-files describing the industry-standard ODBC 2.1 calls. Instructions are provided on how to recompile PHP to link against these components so that your web applications can use industry-standard ODBC features (described at http://PHPodbc.com/ ) even if the backend database is, in fact, MySQL, instead of proprietary type MySQL calls.
